All About Kids understands how vital it is that we apply sunscreen whenever our children are exposed to the sun. We make sure to sunscreen each and every child before going outside; while on field trips we reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours and when at the pool we sunscreen during each adult swim. Protecting our children from those UVrays is of the up most importance to us. Below are four tips for safe and effective sunscreen use.
Broad spectrum sunscreen protects agains both UVA and UVB rays.
2. Use Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30 or greater:
Studies have shown that SPF of 30, blocks about 97% of all UVB rays.
3. Use water resistant sunscreen.
4. Use rub on cream rather then a spray:
The spray on sunscreen maybe more convenient but less effective then rubbing the cream into the skin.
Please make sure when bringing your child’s sunscreen to All About Kids that you stop at the front desk to ensure the proper paperwork has been completed.
