CINCINNATI – March 28, 2011 – All About Kids Childcare and Learning Centers today announced that it received the People’s Choice Award in the Cincinnati Business Courier 2012 Green Business Awards Competition. The annual program, which is produced in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council Cincinnati Regional Chapter, recognizes people and organizations that are demonstrating outstanding leadership in sustainable practices. As part of the annual program, Courier readers are invited to vote on their favorite Green Business Awards finalist. The people, organization or project that receives the most votes from the survey is named the People’s Choice Award winner.

“This award is validation of our hard work and dedication to the green practices that we have adopted as part of our building construction and operations, as well as our classroom curriculum that helps educate children about the importance of taking care of the environment,” said James Kaiser, co-founder of All About Kids. “The People’s Choice Award is unique because it is voted on by people across the region. The fact that we won the award is a true compliment to our company and staff and acknowledgment that building environmentally responsible businesses is important to many people. We certainly appreciate the support from the Courier’s readers and look forward to continuing to support our communities with environmentally friendly learning centers.”

All About Kids is the only LEED Certified Green childcare center in the Tri-State area and one of the only ones in the country. All About Kids centers incorporate vegetable and flower gardens into their curriculum, along with using roof rainwater for watering the gardens. They operate using recycling as part of the teaching process and also emphasize energy conservation. Centers include bicycle racks and parking spaces for low-emission vehicles.

Another sustainable site attribute are the materials used in construction of the centers, which include nontoxic adhesives and sealants, paints, carpet, and agrifiber products that do not contain formaldehyde. Where possible, the centers use materials that are durable, long lasting, recyclable or made from recycled material and materials that have been obtained from local resources. The materials are also certified, labeled, or otherwise recognized as compliant with sustainability standards.

Potty training can be a difficult task for parents to accomplish. With our efforts at school we hope to make this time both rewarding and enjoyable. Some suggestions on how to get your child interested and ready for potty training:

1.	Take them with you to buy underwear that they are excited to put on each day.
2.	Set rewards for successful bathroom trips
3.	Make sure to keep extra clothes handy and expect that your child will have a few accidents, do not punish them for this it is a learning process.
4.	Send them to the bathroom often in the beginning to avoid accidents. Bathrooms are always nearby at All About Kids Learning Centers.
5.	If your child begins to become frustrated and refuses to use the potty, take some time off of the potty training and resume it in a week or two.

Potty Training Packing List: Bring to your Cincinnati Daycare

It is important that both the teachers and the parents work closely to help your child become victorious in potty training. When beginning potty training at school consider providing the teachers with a list of appropriate and inappropriate rewards for good bathroom behavior – and please make sure to bring in several sets of clothing and underwear because we will need them!

Selfishly, the center provides us an opportunity to spend more time with our grandchildren while we were at the center with them. Our goal is to work closely with the community to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. We wanted to create a place that would provide parents with the peace of mind knowing that their children are not only enjoying the time they are spending at the facility, they are also beginning their educational journey by following a well- balanced curriculum.

CINCINNATI – January 21, 2011 – All About Kids Childcare and Learning Centers today announced the opening of its third franchise location in the Cincinnati area. Opened by Chris and Marilyn Lohrman of Miami Township, the new learning center will provide early childcare development programs for children ranging in ages of six weeks to 12 years old. Located off of I-275 and Wards Corner Road in Miami Township, the new center has a capacity of 204 students, will employ up to 40 full and part-time staff and service families in Loveland, Miami Township, Milford, Montgomery and surrounding communities. In addition to its three franchise locations, All About Kids also has three company-owned centers in Liberty Township and Mason, Ohio and Union, Kentucky.

“Loveland is a family-focused community, so it is an ideal location for our newest franchise,” said James Kaiser, co-founder of All About Kids. “Located just off of I-275, the learning center is perfect for commuting parents heading east or west who can quickly and easily drop off and pick up their children at one of the safest, state-of-the-art childcare facilities in the state. Entrepreneurs that want to become part of the All About Kids family quickly learn how much emphasis we place on each child, from the learning programs and care in building the facilities, to the security and staff; each of which reassures parents that they have made the right choice in childcare.”

Kaiser added, “For prospective franchisees, All About Kids simplifies the start-up process, offering assistance with financing, site selection, building design, staffing, accounting systems, licensing, training and operations. We offer a turnkey business model for entrepreneurs that have a passion for education and an interest in building a successful company in one of the country’s fastest growing industries.”

CINCINNATI – December 20, 2010 – Launched in August 2005, All About Kids Daycare has expanded to include five learning centers spread across the greater Cincinnati area and Northern Kentucky. A sixth center will open in Loveland, Ohio in early 2011 with additional centers in various stages of development. Founders James and Tracy Kaiser attribute the growth of All About Kids to the company’s focus on providing early child care development programs that increase children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills in a safe and encouraging environment. The company’s rapid expansion is also attributed to a proven franchise model, which was introduced in 2008, and has attracted a number of local entrepreneurs interested in owning their own businesses.

To differentiate All About Kids from traditional day care centers, the company has focused on developing tailored programs that meet the need of individual children, hiring educated and experienced staff, building state-of-the-art facilities and incorporating the latest technology for everything from learning to security. All About Kids will soon be the only LEED Certified Green childcare center in the Tri-State area and one of the only ones in the country. The company’s green building mentality not only applies in the construction, where it saves building owners up to 30 percent in energy cost, but also in the curriculum. This enables All About Kids to educate tomorrow’s leaders with a sustainable, conservative stewardship outlook towards the environment.

In addition, each center allows parents to remotely monitor their kids through WatchMeGrow.com, a live, secure, multi-user video camera system. Since the first center opened in 2005, All About Kids has increased enrollment to more than 700 kids and total employment has risen to 150. The company serves communities and families near Mason, Green Township, Liberty Township, West Chester and Montgomery, Ohio; and Union, Kentucky.

“Child care is one of the fastest growing service industries in the country, and as evident by our growth the last five years, we have created education programs and an environment that work for families and a successful business model for prospective franchisees who share a passion for child development,” said James Kaiser. “When we started All About Kids, we did not want to just put up an ordinary facility simply to watch kids while their parents are at work. We wanted to start a company that takes as much care in the way we operate as a company, from our construction plans to our security measures, as we do in taking care of an individual child. It is this formula that will make All About Kids and our franchise partners leaders in the child care industry.”

All About Kids Learning Center programs are designed for children from six weeks to 12 years old. The company’s hands-on learning experiences are based on the Constructivist theory, which puts the emphasis of learning on the learner rather than the teacher. For prospective franchisees, All About Kids offers a hands-on, turn-key approach to setting up a learning center, including assistance with financing, site selection, building design, staffing, accounting systems, licensing, training and operations. The company has a number of potential learning center locations identified in Ohio and Kentucky, and is also offering franchises in Indiana.

“We have already gone through the process of identifying communities in Ohio and Kentucky, including conducting the demographic research and selecting specific locations, that will support successful All About Kids Learning Centers. With more parents working outside the home, there is a growing need for quality early child care development. All About Kids fills that need, providing trained and educated staff, quality, well-planned learning experiences, and secure environments that parents have come to trust.”
